The Assessment Capacities Project (ACAPS) provides independent, high-quality, and timely humanitarian analysis to enable crisis responders to better understand and address the needs of the affected population. ACAPS' COVID19 Government Measures Dataset compiles the measures implemented by governments worldwide in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The measures fall into five categories: social distancing, movement restrictions, public health measures, social and economic measures, and lockdowns. Data are compiled by consultation with government, media, the United Nations, and other organizational sources.
The objective of this phase II/III randomized clinical trial is to evaluate the efficacy of vitamin D therapy versus placebo in vitamin D-deficient African-Americans with hypertension, including investigating the relationship between vitamin D and cardiac damage (as identified on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging) in a vitamin D-deficient hypertensive patients without prior history of heart disease. Data include cardiac MRI and echocardiography data, lab results (e.g., vitamin D, CBC), and patient characteristics (e.g., vital signs, demographics, health insurance, education level, household income, hypertension drug and vitamin D treatment adherence, dietary intake, sun exposure).
This data was collected as part of an expedition to the Pacific Ocean to map and study the distribution of trace elements and isotopes as part of the International GEOTRACES Program (a program which aims to improve the understanding of biogeochemical cycles and large-scale distribution of trace elements and their isotopes in the marine environment). 135 seawater samples were collected and analyzed from 6 super stations from east to west along a transect from Peru to Tahiti.
The Pediatric Participant Use Data File (PUF) is a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant data file containing cases submitted to the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program Pediatric® (ACS NSQIP Pediatric®). The PUF contains patient-level, aggregate data and does not identify hospitals, health care providers, or patients. The ACS NSQIP Pediatric collects data on approximately 120 variables, including preoperative risk factors, intraoperative variables, and 30-day postoperative mortality and morbidity outcomes for patients undergoing major surgical procedures in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The intended purpose of this file is to provide researchers at participating sites with a data resource they can use to investigate and advance the quality of care delivered to the surgical patient through the analysis of cases captured by ACS NSQIP Pediatric. Additional procedure-specific PUFs are available for appendectomy, spinal fusion, and cerebrospinal fluid shunt.
The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing survey that provides vital information on a yearly basis about the United States and its people. Information from the survey generates data that help determine how more than $675 billion in federal and state funds are distributed each year. Social characteristics include education, marital status, relationships, fertility, grandparents, school enrollment, educational attainment, veteran status, disability status, place of birth, U.S. citizenship status, language spoke at home, and ancestry. Economic characteristics include income, employment status, occupation, commuting to work, industry, class of worker, and poverty. Housing characteristics include occupancy and structure, housing value and costs, rent, and utilities. Demographic characteristics include sex, age, and race.
To serve the research needs of social scientists, teachers, students, policy makers and journalists, the ANES produces high quality data from its own surveys on voting, public opinion, and political participation. Central to this mission is the active involvement of the ANES research community in all phases of the project. Questionnaires are distributed pre-election and post-election each presidential cycle.
The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is a system of health-related telephone surveys that collect state data about U.S. residents regarding their health-related risk behaviors, chronic health conditions, and use of preventive services. BRFSS collects data in all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia and three U.S. territories. BRFSS collects state data about U.S. residents regarding their health-related risk behaviors and events, chronic health conditions, and use of preventive services. BRFSS also collects data on important emerging health issues such as vaccine shortage and influenza-like illness. Interviewers administer the annual BRFSS surveys continuously through the year.

The COVID-19 Open Research Dataset is an extensive machine-readable resource of over 45,000 scholarly articles, including over 33,000 with full text, about COVID-19 and the coronavirus family of viruses for use by the global research community. This dataset is intended to mobilize researchers to apply recent advances in natural language processing to generate new insights in support of the fight against this infectious disease. The dataset is updated weekly and contains all COVID-19 and coronavirus-related research (e.g., SARS, MERS) from the following sources: PubMed's PMC open access corpus (using this query: COVID-19 and coronavirus research), additional COVID-19 research articles from a corpus maintained by the World Health Organization (WHO), and bioRxiv and medRxiv pre-prints (using this query: COVID-19 and coronavirus research). Also available is a comprehensive metadata file of 44,000 coronavirus and COVID-19 research articles with links to PubMed, Microsoft Academic, and the WHO COVID-19 database of publications (includes articles without open access full text).
